We have been tutoring around 50+ Detroit school students through an online based and on-site tutoring program each week through out the school year. Our goal is to double the number of students by the end of 2016. Continental plays a major role in expanding this program to be apart of the solution in Detroit city.

Being a Continental employee and founding member of Detroit Indians organization I am glad to to offer a volunteer opportunity to Continental employees who would like to teach Math, or Science (and English in near futire) to 4th and 5th graders of Detroit Public School. One of the features of this tutoring program is that you can conduct online-tutoring from any convenient location, either at the office or at home. Being a Conti-employee from detroit campus we hope to inspire you to become part of a tutor pool and be a change that you wish to see in Detroit. For more info please contact me by leaving a comment or contacting me internally through ConNext.

Currently, there are around 70 registered online-tutors who have been tutoring 1 hr per week math. The tutoring sessions take place on various days from 5:00pm to 6:00pm after work that is most convenient for tutors.

We hope to make a difference in lives of young boys and girls in Detroit.

What a great idea to offer this program online and optimize the amount of tutors available to connect with students.
