I am working at Icheon branch, South Korea. I am honored to be given a chance to run my story. I majored mechanical engineering as an undergraduate, and continued my studies in industrial engineering as a graduate to learn about algorithm, data structure, geometrics, and programming. My thesis was on bioinformatics. I started my career in the quality division, and now I am conducting various improvement activities including Plant data and computer management in the Continental Business System (CBS) team. My life at Continental has been a blessing. The world is now buzzing about the 4th generation manufacturing revolution, namely Industry 4.0 and Smart factory – I hope to contribute to the company as a data scientist based on my academic and hands-on knowledge.

After I completed my studies of economical mathematics, I started working for Continental in 2011 in central Logistics. Here I lead several projects with focus on transportation, packaging and duties. In February 2015, I switched again to a new department, this time with the task of Target Costing in Business Controlling. Having worked in several different jobs within Continental, I highly appreciate the mindset of diversity and open-mindedness in the company, which encourages to experience different functions, divisions and cultures.
I currently do my masters in mechanical engineering at the Technical University Braunschweig, Germany. With the opinion that a tire is just a boring black piece of rubber, I started in 2010 with an internship in the Prototype area at Continental in Hannover (Engineering Tires) resulting a membership in the ProMotion Program. I learned that a tire and the tire building process is the opposite of boring. I stayed as a working student in the Prototype area and wrote my Bachelor thesis with Continental, too. After my Bachelor thesis I got the opportunity to work for 3 month as intern in the Tire plant Mt. Vernon, USA.

I am working in Continental since October 2010. I started as product developer for the departement `The Amerikas`. So I developed commercial tires (trucks and busses) for Brazil mainly and as well some articles for the US market. Oct 2013 I am movedc to Jundiai / Brazil (close to Sao Paulo). Here I am a `lonely` engineer between around 150 marketing and sales colleagues :-) I still work for product development Truck & Bus tires - now I make the 'translation' between our Marketing & SalesTeam here in Brazil and our central Research & Development department in Hannover. The language of these two groups is quite different, so that a good translator helps to ensure that our customer get the products they need with the most suitable technology we have available. My former experience as tire developer helps me a lot! And my portuguese is improving every day :-) Before I started working at Continental, I used to be a professional road cyclist. With my cycling team as well as with the German National Team I competed in World Cups, World Championships and international stage races all around the world (e.g. Giro d'Italia donna; Tour de L'Aude (womens pendant of the tour de France where we could win the Team Time Trial in 2009). You can imagine that our bikes were equipped with the best of Continental only ;-) (Tires: Force&Attack (training); ContiCompetition (competition))
