Controlling – it sounds very dry at first. Jan Zajic thought so too. He wanted to go into marketing or work on the stock exchange after his degree. Somewhere where they live life to the full. But life always has its own plans, and so of course Jan Zajic ended up in Controlling at Continental in Malaysia.

There’s never a dull moment here. The wide range of people make sure of that: Malays, Chinese, and Indians. “It’s a really great environment, where you don’t have to compromise on work or your private life,” says Jan.  The world of Commercial Vehicle Tires is a huge challenge for him – that’s what makes it so attractive. “Work is like a drug.” A touch of astonishment still resonates in this sentence, that the job that once sounded so boring to him now fills him with so much passion.

Already, Jan Zajic has moved on in his career –  To controlling he has remained true, of course.

Rubber sticks. This is an old saying among tire people. And it's true, at least in my case. I rejoined Continental in 2006 and this time I intend to stay. I am right where I want to be: Communications Commercial Vehicle Tires.
