Free time is short and precious. Tell us how to choose to spend it.
I spend my free time in the nature. I love hiking and I do my best not to miss a weekend on the mountain. I discovered my passion about 10 years ago and I dedicate more and more time to this hobby. It relaxes me, it gives me energy and every mountain peak conquered, gives me an amazing satisfaction.
Tell us, in a few words, what is your activity and how long have you been practicing it.
Hiking on the mountain. Time spent with friends and colleagues away from the noise and pollution of the city. Nature, greenery, sun, forests, springs, silence. That’s how I can describe the activity that I practice in my spare time.
What caused you to opt for this way of spending your free time and what motivates you to continue this activity?
I do what I like, therefore I invest time and ideas for a good organization of activities. For this purpose, I have created a group on a social network that gathers together people with the same interest and hobby: in this case mountain lovers. I continue this activity for the sake of people eager to spend time outdoor, away from the noise of the city. I find myself in such activities, that’s what I want and I aspire to higher peaks.
How many hours a day do you dedicate to your passion?
I can not say that I dedicate time daily to this passion, but there are periods and periods. Generally the summer is the season where I go to the mountains most often, due to the favorable weather conditions, but I also recommend the experience of hiking the mountains in the winter. Beautiful landscapes with snow filled peaks make you feel like you are in a fairytale.
What knowledge, skills, studies and efforts involves the work you carry out?
Hiking on the mountain requires a lot of ambition and perseverance. There are many moments when you want to quit and turn back from the road, due to the high physical effort you have to make. It depends on the motivation of each person and how much you want to get to the top. As hard as it may seem, something within you tells you not to give up, and at the top you forget completely how hard the road was. The satisfaction that you succeeded cancels any trace of tiredness and frustration.
Do you think studies and work push people away from their passions?
I believe in the principle that no matter how hard it is, if you want enough to do one thing, you will find the necessary time.
What are your plans for the future?
Hike more, worry less is the motto that drives me.
