My dual study program does not mean that I am only based at the Headquarter in Hanover. I am seeing a lot of Germany. The new practical work begins and my new home will be in Munich from February to April. My task is to support the sales manager in Bavaria and to independently do many different and responsible Tasks.

With laptop, mobile phone and company car equipped, I have gone to all twenty branches in the sales area to check the right processes in the first weeks. Before, I did not see a branch outside of Hanover and the little trip showed me thelevel of high quality in the branches. Particularly interesting here were the discussions with the branch managers who had told stories of their experiences. Through the experience gained in the various branches which I saw, I could give many tips to the branch managers for process optimization. In another week I took a ride in the appropriate coordinator car service in this area, which takes care of all issues in the garage of the branches. I was able to gain a lot of impressions from the garage.

Conti viewIn Bavaria the last month began with three exciting events, the assessment center (AC) for trainees in sale and automotive mechatronics. I was able to empathize with the nervousness of the participants, as I was in a similar situation in the Vergölst myself two years ago. At the end of the AC the participants admitted, however, that it was not all that bad 🙂 .

After that, my task was immediately followed by the branch. There I learned how to deal with our merchandise management system, selling tires and also how to fit a couple tires (of course under supervision 😉 ).

Furthermore, Munich and Bavaria have a lot to offer in terms of leisure activities. So I have used many things extensively in and around Munich to make my weekends enjoyable. And one thing is clear: Continental everywhere!

I started working for Vergölst/Continental as a participant of a dual study program business administration in Hanover, Germany, in August 2013. Vergölst is assigned to ContiTrade and is a trading company for tire and car services with more than 300 branches in Germany. It is very special for me to be a blogger and I'm excited to give you some impressions of my work. If there is something I want to share with you, I'll let you know! :-)
